Who we are

ProductCamp San Diego is a group of volunteers who are organizing an event to benefit the San Diego business community.  We are not a subsidiary or affiliate of another ProductCamp organization.  You can see more about who we are on the Team page of this site. What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

  • Mailing list

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will direct you to a MailChimp form to collect your email address and other identifying information so that we can send you information about ProductCamp San Diego that we think you will find interesting.  We keep track of which emails you are sent, open , or click on so we can write better, more interesting, and more relevant emails. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time, but your identifying information is kept in case you resubscribe and for our internal reporting.

  • event registration

If you register for an event, we will direct you to Eventbrite to collect your email address and other identifying information so that we know to expect you on-site.  We will also ask for your consent to send you emails about that event, and if you grant it we will add your identifying information to our MailChimp list. 

  • Embedded content from other websites

This site may include embedded content such as videos, images, and articles. Embedded content from other web sites behaves in the exact same way as if you visited the other web site. These web sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

  • Analytics

Our web site uses Google Analytics to help us understand where visitors are coming from and where they go to.

Who we share your data with:

We use the data we collect to communicate with you, produce events, and to get better at doing both.  We do not provide your personally identifying information to sponsors.  We use third-party services, such as MailChimp and Eventbrite, who will store and process your identifying information on our behalf.

How long we retain your data:

Data we collect are retained indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data:

You may request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.  Contact us via privacy@productcampsd.org.
